Inter Faith Council builds relations between people of different
faiths and beliefs in the Greater Nottingham area.

Multi-faith sites
Twinkl Twinkl provide teaching resources for educators across the UK. They have a range of activities on all faiths, which can be found by using their search bar. Resources are downloadable by signing up for an account. There are materials from EYFS to GSCE on their site.
RE Online This is a good place to start looking. It includes
loads of links to resources, government info, etc. Produced by the
Culham Institute, a publisher of RE resources.
Topmarks A
gateway to education-related sites on a wide range of subjects.
Clicking the Religious Studies link generates a list of nearly 100
sites you can visit.
Holidays.net Info
about a range of holidays - about half are religious, majoring on
Judaism but including some Christian ones and Ramadan. Has some
attractive graphics - but also rather a lot of adverts.
Beth Shalom In September 1995, Beth Shalom (House of Peace), Britain's first dedicated
Holocaust Memorial and Education Centre, was opened on the edge of Sherwood Forest in North Nottinghamshire.

The Baha'i World
The international website of the Baha'i faith. Plenty of info about
what Baha'is believe and do.
The Baha'i Community of the United Kingdom A
more limited site. Includes links to local Baha'i communities in Gedling
and Nottingham.
Buddhism
BuddhaNet A portal for all sorts of Buddhism resources, from text info
to audio files and photo-essays to crosswords and comics!
The Friends of
the Western Buddhist Order A worldwide organisation
which “seeks to create all of the conditions needed for the effective
practice of Buddhism in modern society”. It has a simple introduction
to basic Buddhist ideas and practices, and the FWBO Online link
tells you how to get educational resources.
Nottingham
Buddhist Centre A local Buddhist community linked to the
FWBO (above), with premises in the centre of Nottingham. The site
has background info about Buddhism and details of upcoming courses
on meditation etc.
Dharmanet More of a
listings resource for Buddhists than an educational resource. Currently
facing questions about its future.
Christianity
Young Leaders Award The Young Leaders Award is a fully resourced leadership and character education programme designed to be delivered by teaching staff within the classroom. Available at KS1 to Post 16, it has strong links to SMSC, British Values, PSHE, Character Education, Citizenship, RE and SIAMS.
William Booth Museum
Where William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army was born in Nottingham.
Time Travelling
Time Travelling is an educational pilgrimage to Southwell Minster for primary school children. The event opens up aspects of the Christian faith through interactive workshops and is run and led by the education officers and team of volunteers.
Dawn Book Supply
The Dawn Book Supply is a non-profit making charity which publishes and distributes Christian books, Bible study, preaching and teaching material on behalf of the Dawn Fellowship of the Christadelphians.

A Chrstian pilgrimage centre in Nottinghamshire.

Hinduism
Bhagavad
Gita A site devoted to this important Hindu scripture. It
breaks it down into chapters and verses, with the original Sanskrit,
the translation, and RealAudio downloads of the Sanskrit and translations
into various languages.
The International
Society for Krishna Consciousness This is the UK branch.
The Education section has guidance for teaching about Hinduism,
and you can order resources.

The Muslim Council
of Britain An independent accord of mosques formed to promote and improve the future of
Muslims in Britain.
The Karimia Institute Based
in Nottingham, "a centre for

Torah Tots
A US site aimed at children, with lots of cartoon characters,
jolly tunes, and games to teach them about Jewish beliefs, holidays,
